Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Process Control Engineer role in Firebaugh. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, configure, and maintain PLC programs to control key stages of the fruit processing operations.
· Design and implement user-friendly Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) to support real-time monitoring and operational efficiency.
· Integrate and optimize Ignition SCADA systems to collect, analyze, and visualize production data.
· Recommend and implement control system designs tailored to enhance plant performance and reliability.
· Lead all phases of automation projects—from data gathering and system design to implementation, operator training, and final documentation.
· Collaborate with production, maintenance, and IT teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
· Ensure all control systems and documentation comply with company standards and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience; specialization in control systems is a plus.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and at least 1 year of control systems experience.
· Proficient in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming and hardware.
· Skilled in reading and developing process schematics, electrical diagrams, and instrumentation documentation.
· Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and devices.
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check (including employment, education, and credit).
· Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during peak season (typically July–early October).
· Ability to travel once or twice weekly to a sister plant located in Hollister, CA.
