We are seeking an expert Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. This position is designed for a seasoned clinician with specific expertise in high-acuity cardiac cases and robotic-assisted surgery. You will play a critical role in maintaining the sterile field, managing advanced surgical technology, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes during complex cardiovascular procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Surgical Excellence:Provide expert nursing care within the CVOR, specializing in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
- Robotic Surgery:UtilizeDa Vinci XIsurgical systems to assist in minimally invasive robotic-assisted cases.
- Intraoperative Management:Coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to manage patient safety, instrumentation, and emergency protocols during cardiac surgery.
- Clinical Leadership:Serve as a subject matter expert for acute care surgical standards and cardiovascular best practices.
Schedule & Shift Details
- Format:Five 8-hour day shifts per week (40 hours total).
- Standard Hours:Shifts vary between06:30 15:00and10:45 19:00.
- Days:Monday through Friday.
On-Call Requirements
- Frequency:23 days per week (determined by experience level and case volume).
- Weekends:Mandatory on-call rotationevery other weekend, including call-back responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of3 years of CVOR experienceis required.
- Direct experience with theDa Vinci XIrobotic platform is mandatory.
- Previous background in an acute care hospital environment.
- Licensure:Active and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Certifications:CurrentBLSandACLS(American Heart Association) are required.
