Business Litigation Attorney
We are seeking an experienced Business Litigation Attorney to join our esteemed, majority women-owned litigation firm. The ideal candidate will specialize in litigation related to business disputes and provide high-quality legal representation to our clients. The attorney will be responsible for managing complex litigation cases, developing case strategies, and advocating for clients in court.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of business litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Develop and implement effective litigation strategies
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and mediations
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and legal objectives
- Communicate with opposing counsel and negotiate settlements
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations that affect business litigation
- Prepare and present compelling oral arguments in court
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in business litigation
- Strong understanding of civil litigation processes
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Exceptional oral advocacy and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle complex litigation and multitask effectively
- Experience in white-collar criminal matters is a plus
- Background in Big Law or a government trial setting is desirable
