A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in an elementary school setting located in Hayward, CA. This contract role spans the current school year (CSY) with full-time hours (40 per week), focusing exclusively on Pre-K intake assessments. This on-site opportunity is ideal for a licensed professional seeking to impact early childhood communication development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language intake assessments for Pre-K students.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support early communication intervention.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of evaluations and findings.
  • Adhere to state and district policies and guidelines for speech services.
  • Participate in relevant meetings and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Valid State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist from the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA).
  • Clear or Professional Speech Language Pathologist Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) preferred but not required.
  • Candidates must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or equivalent licensure; Candidates currently holding Clinical Fellow (CF) status will not be considered.
  • Preference for candidates fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or bilingual professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of speech pathology assessing techniques and best practices in early childhood.
