Bogle Family Wine Collection (BFWC) is located in the heart of the AVA of Clarksburg, California, and is run by the sixth generation of Bogles, who live and work in the Sacramento Delta region. Bogle was honored as Wine Enthusiast’s 2019 American Winery of the Year and CAWG’s 2022 Grower of the Year for our sustainability efforts in the winery and vineyards. Position Summary:

The Wine Shop Attendant plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, memorable experience for every guest who visits our Home Ranch hospitality facility. This position is on the front line of our hospitality, combining warm guest service, product knowledge, and operational support in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

Successful candidates bring a consistently positive attitude, a genuine passion for hospitality, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction. Wine Shop Attendants are expected to engage guests with enthusiasm, provide knowledgeable and friendly service, and represent the winery’s brands with professionalism and care. A strong work ethic is essential, as the role requires long periods of standing, lifting and moving cases of wine, restocking shelves, maintaining a clean and organized retail space, and supporting daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

Outstanding teamwork is critical to success in this role. Wine Shop Attendants work closely with fellow team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods, support events and tastings, and assist wherever needed to deliver a beyond-expectations guest experience. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a collaborative setting, take pride in hard work, and enjoy balancing hospitality with hands-on, physical responsibilities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Bogle Vineyards family history, wines, winemaking techniques, sustainability commitment as well as a general knowledge of the Delta region
  • Create a memorable shopping experience for guests
  • Greet all customers promptly and warmly, providing excellent customer service
  • Promote the sale of wine and merchandise
  • Introduce and promote membership in our wine clubs
  • Ensure that wine shop and all merchandise displays are kept in immaculate condition
  • Handle sales transactions, including operating cash registers/iPads, processing returns, discounts and other troubleshooting
  • Acquire, input and maintain up to date and accurate customer information
  • Fulfill and stage all orders for guests, including table purchases and online orders
  • Monitor and stock inventory of wine and merchandise continuously throughout shift
  • Perform opening and closing shift tasks
  • Regularly assist with a wide variety of hospitality special events


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to walk, lift, bend, reach, twist and stoop for up to 8 hours/day
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds
  • Confident with organization and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a team player and willing to assist others when needed
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, including frequent weekends and holidays
  • Must follow all safety measures in place
  • Two (2) years of retail experience is preferred
  • Previous POS/software experience preferred


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift and carry at least 55 pounds frequently. Must be able to walk, sit, bend, twist, and/or stand for long periods of time.


COMPENSATION:

$17.40 /hr, plus tips

Individual offers are made contingent upon a candidate's prior experience and education level as they relate to the role. Job offers are contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment screenings, which include a standard 8-panel drug test and a comprehensive background check.
