A Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to support K-12 students in a full-time, contract role based in Oro Grande, CA. This position plays a vital role in ensuring students' health and well-being while facilitating in-classroom support for students receiving virtual therapy services. The ideal candidate is an experienced, credentialed RN ready to start ASAP with a contract duration through the end of the school year, with possible extension into summer school and a strong likelihood of renewal.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing onsite nursing support to students during school hours (37.5 hours per week)
- Monitoring student health and responding promptly to medical needs
- Collaborating with virtual therapy providers to support students receiving remote services
- Managing health records and case information accurately, ensuring compliance with school health policies
- Assisting with case management and communication between healthcare providers, school staff, and families
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Valid RN license with a preference for candidates who are already credentialed in school nursing
- Experience in school nursing or case management within an educational setting
- Ability to work independently while coordinating closely with virtual therapy teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage diverse student health cases
