Career Consulting Partners is partnered with a leading plaintiff’s personal injury law firm that has provided legal representation to clients across 40+ cities throughout California, and a staff of 40+ employees. Their practice is dedicated to providing individuals who have suffered personal injuries or assaults with experienced, compassionate legal representation.

We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Trial Attorney to lead complex personal injury and elder abuse litigation matters from inception through verdict. This role is designed for a seasoned litigator with a proven trial record who can serve as first chair, provide strategic leadership, and mentor a high-performing litigation team. The ideal candidate thrives in a results-driven environment and is committed to excellence in advocacy and client service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of complex litigation cases from intake through verdict

  • Serve as lead trial counsel on high-value and complex personal injury and elder abuse cases

  • Supervise, mentor, and guide Associate Trial Attorneys and litigation team members

  • Develop and implement litigation strategies in coordination with the Managing Attorney

  • Manage client relationships and ensure exceptional client service throughout the litigation process

  • Conduct and oversee all phases of discovery, including written discovery, depositions, and expert discovery

  • Draft, review, and edit high-quality pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda

  • Lead mediations and settlement negotiations with full settlement authority

  • Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial testimony

  • Appear and advocate at depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials

  • Be prepared to try a minimum of five (5) trials per year to a verdict

  • Provide leadership in trial preparation, courtroom execution, and post-trial briefings

  • Lead litigation team meetings and collaborate closely with paralegals and support staff

  • Submit quarterly reporting of fees earned to firm ownership

  • Uphold and promote the firm’s core values, professionalism, and ethical standards

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Managing Attorney or Partners

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar

  • 10+ years of litigation and trial experience (personal injury strongly preferred)

  • Multiple first-chair jury trials to verdict with demonstrated success are required

  • Proven ability to manage and supervise 50+ active litigation files

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-development capabilities

  • Superior oral advocacy, legal writing, and legal research skills

  • Advanced knowledge of California civil procedure, evidence, and personal injury law

  • Proficiency with Litify, Filevine, or comparable case management systems

  • Strong technological skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and legal software tools

  • Professional demeanor with exceptional organizational and time-management skills

  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Compensation: $200,000 - $300,000 + Attorney Fee Structure
