We have partnered up with a leading manufacturer of fire helmets dedicated to protecting firefighters around the world. We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Production Painter to join our manufacturing team. The Production Painter will be under the direction of the Production or Inventory Lead, the ideal candidate is responsible for preparing, painting, and assisting with the assembly of fire and rescue helmets. This role requires attention to detail, pride in craftsmanship, and a commitment to safety, quality, and process improvement.
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour
- Temp to hire
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare helmets for painting through cleaning, sanding, and masking
- Apply primer, paint, and protective coatings using spray equipment
- Mix paints to required specifications and ensure consistent, high-quality finishes
- Perform quality inspections and complete production documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Assist with minor helmet assembly as needed
- Follow detailed work instructions, safety guidelines, and lean manufacturing principles
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of painting experience
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturing or production experience
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts
- Ability to read drawings and process instructions
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Basic computer skills
