We are seeking an energetic and experienced Special Education Teacher aide to join our team! As a Special Education Teacher aide, you will work with students with learning, sensory processing, developmental, and language and communication disorders. Your goal is to recognize their individual educational needs and create a fun environment and assist the staff . The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, passionate, and dedicated to helping children with learning disabilities.
Responsibilities:

• Create and enforce classroom rules and procedures
• Follow instructions provided by lead teacher
• Create goal oriented group activities
• Logging information about kids activities while in class
• Write and submit necessary reports
• Communicate with parents and other staff members
• Assist staff in cleaning classroom
• Must be comfortable with diaper changing

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and special education license
• Previous experience as a special education teacher aide is preferred
• Good understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related disorders
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
