Wage law practice paralegal

Hybrid | Emeryville, California, CA, United States
Must be in LA or Emeryville office. Hybrid 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
Responsibilities

Assist in researching and analyzing wage law regulations and compliance.

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

Prepare and organize legal documents related to wage law cases.

Monitor changes in wage law and update the team accordingly.

Support attorneys in case management and client communication.

Assist in drafting legal briefs and memoranda for court submissions.

Maintain accurate records of case files and legal correspondence.

Conduct interviews with clients to gather necessary information.

Evaluate case outcomes and suggest improvements for future cases.

Collaborate with team members to achieve case-related targets.

Utilize case management software to track progress and deadlines.
Experience/Qualifications

Proven experience in wage law research and compliance analysis.

Strong organizational skills to prepare and manage legal documents effectively.

MUST HAVE experience supporting class and collective actions AND employment/wage and hour claims.

Has been in the class action, employment sector for AT LEAST 3 years (not overall paralegal years). Proactive, communicative, thrives in a high volume environment.
