Whole Person Care Clinic (WPCC) is a mission-driven nonprofit providing integrated healthcare and supportive services for individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability. Our team delivers compassionate, trauma-informed care through Recuperative Care, Outreach/Street Medicine, and Enhanced Care Management services.

Position Summary

WPCC is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care and serve as a clinical lead supporting safe, consistent medical workflows. This position includes medical staff oversightfor LVNs/medical support staff through coaching, delegation support, competency reinforcement, and workflow monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide RN clinical care: assessments, monitoring, wound care, client education, and interventions within scope
  • Support continuity of care and follow-up coordination (post-hospital discharge, PCP/specialty referrals)
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EHR
  • Participate in outreach/street medicine services as assigned
  • Provide clinical oversight to medical support staff (LVNs, MAs/EMTs/Medical Coordinators):
    • guidance and coaching
    • appropriate delegation support
    • workflow monitoring and documentation quality checks
    • identify training needs and escalate clinical concerns to leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted California RN license
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations in a trauma-informed manner
  • Valid CA drivers license and ability to travel locally (as assigned)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in recuperative care, outreach/street medicine, community health, or homelessness services
  • Behavioral health / substance use experience
  • ACLS a plus
