Lead Marine is hiring experienced Ship Fitters with Loft/Auto-Cad experience for a temp to hire position with a large defense contacting company hear in San Diego.
Requirements
- Design and create workstation drawings for the fabrication of components and assemblies that are used for alterations and repairs on Navy Ships, Military Sealift Command, and commercial projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of ship terminology, blueprint reading, measurements, and the ability to interpret job specifications and drawings.
- Prepare molds and templates for fabrication.
- Blueprint & schematic reading
Qualifications
- Must have at least 4 years of related experience, 2 of which in the maritime industry
- Must have AUTO CAD experience
- Must have some experience with hands on ship fitting repairs, & installations of structural plates, shapes, and foundations on naval ships
