Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney (California Bar Required)
About the Role
A respected Southern California-based defense law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to support ongoing litigation needs. This is a flexible contract opportunity open to attorneys at any experience level, provided they have defense-side workers' compensation experience—especially with WC carriers or insurance coverage.
Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in workers' compensation defense cases.

Handle all aspects of the litigation process.

Make court appearances throughout Southern California as needed.

Work in a paperless environment and manage case files efficiently.

Collaborate with support staff and maintain clear communication.
Requirements

Must be barred in California.

Workers' compensation experience on the defense side.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Willingness to travel for court appearances.

Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting.

Location: Remote (Office in Century City, CA)
Employment Type: Contract – Full-time or Part-time
Compensation: $70 - $90 per hour DOE
*Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law, and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.
Pay Details: $70.00 to $90.00 per hour
