We are seeking a skilled General Plate Operator with plating experience to join our large metal finishing facility located in Costa Mesa, CA. This role requires a dedicated professional who can work on the second shift, from 2pm to 10:30pm, and manage various plating processes with precision and attention to detail.
$20 - $28/hr
Responsibilities
- Execute plating processes including electrodeposited and electroless plating.
- Perform chemical conversion coating and passivation tasks.
- Conduct mechanical cleaning and coating removal.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures diligently.
- Conduct receiving inspections, including counting, visual inspection, and checking the completion of previous operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized department on a daily basis.
- Process parts according to customer requirements, procedures, work instructions, and job traveler, ensuring high-quality standards and part conformity.
- Complete orders in line with the production schedule.
- Ensure all necessary processing paperwork is completed with high accuracy and on-time delivery for customer orders.
- Perform in-process inspections to maintain quality standards.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in plating processes, including electrodeposited and electroless plating.
- Experience in chemical conversion coating and passivation.
- Ability to conduct mechanical cleaning and coating removal.
- Strong inspection skills, both visual and procedural.

- Ability to maintain high-quality standards and ensure part conformity.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
- Capability to complete processing paperwork accurately and deliver customer orders on time.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
