Operations Technician – Electrician

<li>Perform a wide variety of semi-skilled to skilled installation, preventive maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic and instrumentation equipment and systems for the District to include sewage collection and pumping systems, water distribution and pumping systems, water treatment plants and various District buildings and facilities as assigned.</li>
<li>Act as a resource to other departments and employees in the maintenance and repair of a variety of electrical, electronic and instrumentation systems; perform troubleshooting, diagnostic and problem-solving activities in support of motor control centers, telemetry alarm systems, circuit breakers, motors, generators, general electrical and related equipment.</li>

The Ideal Candidate

COMPENSATION &amp; BENEFITS
TCPUD offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The pay range for this position is $49.31 -$64.11 per hour, based on qualifications.
Retirement: The District participates in the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS).
Deferred Compensation: The District participates in the CalPERS 457 Plan with a 2% contribution made by TCPUD.
Medical Insurance: The District currently provides and pays the full premium for employee plus qualified dependents for the CalPERS Gold PPO Plan.
Dental and Vision Insurance: The District currently provides and pays the full premium for a $1,500 annual dental benefit for employee plus qualified dependents and a $500 annual vision benefit for employee plus qualified dependents.

Summary of Functions: The E &amp; I Technician is responsible for the care and maintenance of all property and production assets in a safe, sanitary and efficient condition. The E &amp; I Technician is responsible for staying up to date on new products, equipment, technology and techniques.
 
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Experience and Skills You'll Need

<li>Proficient with reading CAD drawings and assembly documentation.</li>

ELECTRICIAN
 
We are seeking an Electrician with background in solar and backup batteries installation and service. Full-time 4-day work weeks so Fridays off!
 
We are a local and family owned, third generation solar, battery and generator installation and service company, since 1971.We provide excellent training to aid you in your success. All necessary training, tools and equipment will be provided, including well maintained, fully loaded company trucks.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Install and service residential and commercial backup battery and electrical systems.</li>
<li>Battery commissioning, activations and customer orientations. </li>
<li>Residential and commercial Main Panel Upgrades (MPU). </li>
<li>Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical component and system issues. </li>
<li>Complete Site Reports and update company Project Management system, as needed.</li>
<li>Attend regular team meetings and training. </li>
</ul>
 
REQUIREMENTS

<li>5+ years electrical experience with background in solar and backup batteries installation and service, especially Enphase.</li>
<li>Electricians Training/Journeyman Certification.</li>
<li>Understand of NEC codes, electrical schematics, SLDs and plans. </li>
<li>Creative and resourceful in finding solutions to problems or obstacles </li>
<li>Excellent time management and organizational skills.</li>
