Position Summary:Under general supervision, independently analyzes blueprints, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.&nbsp; Provides guidance, training, and direction for less experienced estimating staff.What You Will Do
<ul>
<li>Produce precise excavation &amp; backfill estimates for various project types, including large commercial, industrial, high—tech, vertical high rise, utility, lighting, and health care facilities.</li>
<li>Work independently or under the direction of designated project lead.</li>
<li>Read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, tele data, security, fire alarm, audio visual plans, and specifications as they relate to the installation of underground infrastructure</li>
<li>Demonstrate an understanding of, and clearly communicate, estimated scope of work.</li>
<li>Develop project take-offs and equipment counts based upon the specifications and drawings.</li>
<li>Utilize technology tools to perform and document budgets, preferably BlueBeam, Accubid, and LiveCount.</li>
<li>Provide support and training of estimating processes, procedures and systems for junior estimators, interns, and other team members as necessary.</li>
<li>Contribute to and support value engineering exercises.</li>
<li>Contribute to scope letter content.</li>
<li>Participate in Estimating team and review meetings and clearly define your estimate work product. </li>
<li>Adhere to the PRIME Safety Program, complying with safety regulations, procedures and safe work practices.</li>
<li>Maintain a physical presence onsite and provide assistance to specific groups, managers and project management teams as needed.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as requested; duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.</li>

What You Need to be Successful
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>
<li>Experience in commercial, industrial, high-tech, vertical high-rise, and health care industries</li>
<li>Experience with preparing, reviewing, and presenting complex estimates</li>
<li>Experience with the appropriate application of underground infrastructure construction methods, including excavation safety systems, directional drilling, and trenching methods</li>
<li>Ability to train and educate others on estimating procedures and software</li>
<li>Knowledge of structural, architectural, and mechanical documents and their impact on underground scope.</li>
<li>Knowledge of local city and county specifications</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office, BlueBeam, Excel, Accubid, Smartsheet, and LiveCount.</li>
<li>Strong organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking, and communication skills.</li>
<li>Experience with delivery models: Plan &amp; Spec, Design-Assist, and Design-Build.</li>
<li>Ability to grasp and follow existing estimating process and procedures.</li>
<li>Strong work ethic.</li>
</ul>
Supervisory Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>May supervise or coordinate the work of others who assist in specific assignments.</li>
</ul>
Special Requirements/Physical Demands/Working Conditions
<ul>
<li>Work is primarily performed in an office setting with minimal health or safety hazards.&nbsp; Noise level and temperature is moderate.&nbsp; Minimal lifting or climbing.&nbsp; This position is expected to be fully in-person, onsite, with some travel not limited to, other offices, work sites and local business errands.&nbsp; Requires operating office machines such as, but not limited to, computers, copiers, scanners, and phones.</li>
