Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication, mental health and behavioral challenges.&nbsp;
Although autism can be diagnosed at any age, it is described as a “developmental disorder” because symptoms generally appear in the first 2 years of life. People with ASD may face a wide range of issues, which means that there is no single best treatment for ASD. Working closely with a health care provider like MeBe Family&nbsp; is an important part of finding the right combination of treatment and services. (Reference, National Institute of Mental Health)
As a Behavior Technician,

You'll teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to kiddos with autism in their home or at MeBe’s Learning Center clinic

You’ll follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the kiddo's communication, self-help, social and play skills.

You’ll relay info on your kiddos’ progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.

At the end of each session, you’ll accurately record the kiddo’s behavior analysis and progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your work assigned tablet.

As a Home Health Licensed Vocational Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
<ul>
<li>Provide one-on-one, in house care for an adult patient, including ventilator (vent), tracheostomy (trach) management, and medication administration</li>
<li>Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and document findings accurately in patient records</li>
<li>Maintain open communication with the RN supervisor, care team, and family members to ensure continuity of care</li>
<li>Assist the RN in carrying out the patient’s plan of care, including therapeutic interventions and rehabilitation exercises as prescribed&nbsp;</li>
<li>Educate the patient and family on the care plan, medication administration, and home safety measures</li>
<li>Follow healthcare regulations, infection control protocols, and ensure proper maintenance of medical equipment</li>
</ul>
A few must-haves for Home Health Licensed Vocational Nurses:
<ul>
<li>Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program and active LVN license in CA</li>
<li>Minimum of 1 year of LVN experience, ideally in home healthcare, skilled nursing, or an acute care setting</li>
<li>Vent and Trach experience preferred, training available</li>
<li>CPR certification</li>
<li>Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations</li>
<li>Clinical proficiency in nursing, strong communication skills and compassion</li>
