Here's What You'll Do:
The&nbsp;Day Program Instructors&nbsp;supports individuals with developmental disabilities to have quality of life. The Instructor promotes the health, safety and well-being of residents. An Instructor serves as an advocate for our clients.
Essential Functions
<ul>
<li>Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.</li>
<li>Assist clients with bathroom needs/change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.</li>
<li>Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.</li>
<li>Support clients with daily living and vocational activities.</li>
<li>Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).</li>
<li>Participate in client assessment, planning, and evaluation processes.</li>
<li>Input all client notes into computer programs/review IPP goals and communicate with supervisors when necessary.</li>
<li>Attend regular staff meetings and participate in continuing education and training.</li>
<li>Perform other related duties/assignments as required.</li>
</ul>
Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>1 year experience preferred supporting adults with developmental disabilities.</li>
<li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li>
<li>Must have a California Driver’s License.</li>
<li>Candidates must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.</li>
<li>Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 &amp; Year 2 (Preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire).</li>

SUMMARY: 
The Registration Clerk will process the information required for admittance, dismissal, and insurance billing. This will include communicating well with members of the public and accurately recording data. The clerk will also review insurance verification/authorization, prepare necessary consent forms, and prepare other information pertinent to registration. This position also includes functions of a cashier and Hospital Operator. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
<ol>
<li>Maintain a 95% better benchmark registration accuracy in patient demographics, insurance data entry, and validating insurance coverage using proper patient identification. Documents account activity and financial status as necessary in notes. </li>
<li>Responsible for daily registrations, which include ancillary services, Emergency Room Registration, and House Admissions, determining services needed for surgery patients, and pre-registration services, i.e., surgical consents. </li>
<li>Comply with EMTLA rules and regulations regarding patient emergent services. </li>
<li>Obtain necessary treatment consent forms related to services, including Important Messages about Medicare Rights and MOON, and be able to explain thoroughly. Complete the MSP form, and Medicare ABN and is able to explain to Medicare patients

<li>Scan all paper documents, patient identification, insurance cards, and Power of Attorney (as applicable) into HIM electronic systems or any other information needed. </li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Responsible for daily financial functions such as balancing cash drawers and accepting payments/deposits needed for services, cash, credit cards, checks, and money orders. Generates receipts for patients or guarantors and non-patient customers. Complies with daily cash collection journals, logs, and deposits into the safe, always providing a witness. </li>
<li>Practices patient confidentiality and security of patient health information. Provides feedback on the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of other departments related to the admission and billing process. </li>
<li>Performs general clerical functions: answers telephone calls efficiently, politely, and quickly. Complies with necessary reports as directed. </li>
<li>It uses the HIS Affinity system to its full capacity and continues to grow in the use of computers as its capabilities expand. </li>
<li>Demonstrates an understanding and regularly uses the Admission Policies and Procedures in performing job duties and instructs patients. </li>
<li>Must be able to report Emergency patients and admission to review organizations and HMOs after hours and on Holidays. </li>
</ol>

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Customer Service: Promotes a positive patient experience, interfacility, and interdepartmental relations in a caring environment. </li>
<li>Is responsible for monitoring all alarm panels in the Switchboard area.</li>

<li>Mathematical ability required to review statistical data on various financial records.</li>
<li>Ten key-adding machines, typing experience, and computer friendliness are required. Accuracy is more important than speed—knowledge of filing systems and copy machines.</li>
