The Cell &amp; Gene Therapy SME / Lead Process Engineer will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for process validation and regulatory compliance in cell and gene therapy manufacturing. This role ensures that all processes meet global regulatory standards and are validated for consistency, safety, and efficacy.
Job Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Lead end-to-end process validation activities for cell and gene therapy manufacturing, including qualification of equipment, cleaning, and analytical methods</li>
<li>Develop and execute validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) and maintain validation master plans for cell &amp; gene therapy processes</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines, as well as cGMP/cGTP requirements</li>
<li>Review regulatory documentation for IND, BLA, and other submissions and provide recommendations for requirements on highly manual processes</li>
<li>Monitor changes in global regulatory requirements and implement updates in SOPs and cell therapy processes</li>
<li>Provide cell therapy technical expertise during risk assessments and CAPA implementation</li>
<li>Train cross-functional teams on cell therapy validation and compliance best practices</li>
<li>Support technology transfer and scale-up activities with a focus on regulatory alignment</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field</li>
<li>5+ years of experience in process validation within cell/gene therapy or biologics manufacturing</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of cGMP/cGTP, FDA, EMA, and ICH regulatory frameworks</li>
<li>Strong experience with validation protocols, regulatory submissions, and audit readiness</li>
<li>Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence cross-functional teams</li>
</ul>

The actual salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, market demand, and competitive market practice. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Job Description

<li>Program, set-up and operate CNC lathe</li>
<li>Operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner per best practices</li>
<li>Perform visual inspections on all machined parts to ensure they meet quality expectations </li>
<li>Maintain all tooling to ensure high-quality output and accuracy</li>
<li>Identify and report all machine issues, coolant levels, error messages and/or malfunctions</li>
<li>Collect and upload manufacturing data into computerized management system</li>
<li>Compliance to all safety procedures and report any issues to management</li>
</ul>
Requirements
<ul>
<li>Minimum 3-4 years experience</li>
<li>Proficiency with measuring gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc. </li>
<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking</li>
<li>Work well under pressure</li>
<li>Good communication skills</li>
<li>Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints</li>
<li>Knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing</li>
<li>Detail-oriented and organized</li>
<li>Must be reliable and responsible</li>
<li>Good-natured, cooperative, trainable attitude</li>
<li>Machine shop experience a plus</li>
</ul>
